Only one week later and Don and Doris came again for some fishing and lunch. Doris got a chance to get out on the lake to see it this time. Don and Craig fished for 2 hours and sent them home with 3 baggies of sunny filets. They were happy!! We treated them to lunch at Rock Lake Lodge which is just one mile down the road from us. It was early Friday afternoon and we had the whole place to ourselves which was extra nice.
We also stopped by the dealership to look at the new country cottage. The last model sold so we were anxious to see the new one on the lot. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was a barn red in color. The other one was a sage green. Both of them would look great on our lake lot, but after seeing the red, I am a bit smitten with that color combination. I think it would look great amongst the green lushness of Spring and Summer, the brilliance of Autumn and the crisp white Winter Wonderland too. Lots to ponder.
It was a gorgeous 3 day visit. 70's and 80's. Love that.
But still cool enough in the evenings to still enjoy this.....................
This never gets old :)
Two more weeks and we have to bring the camper home for the winter. :(
We will still make some day trips up to the land through out the upcoming months though.

Love the cottage in red! First thing we did when we moved to our current place is paint the exterior barn red. It has held up well and is cheery during the long winters. Easy to give directions, too -- "It's the barn red place on the lake!"

Noted the "Country Cottage" at Town & Country Housing -- quite a bit included within the approx. 1000 sq. ft. footprint. The red is definitely more distinctive than the green.
Doris had mentioned that Don hadn't been fishing much -- no doubt he enjoyed the fishing and (will enjoy) the results that Doris will "fry up".
No doubt they also passed along more than a little "cabin on a lake" information...
