Time to move some Dirt!

Excavating has begun!.  The well casing is in and the frost walls have been dug.  Next step is for the concrete contractor to lay out the frost walls, inspector comes and then if all goes well they will be pouring the cement frost walls this week.  This is exciting to finally see some real progress on the land.

We are in full swing picking out exterior and interior doors, siding, trim, roofing, sinks, faucets, tubs, toilets, cabinets and counter tops, paint samples for the outside, and looking at flooring possibilities.  Busy time!  Especially because I LOVE to find a great bargain.  So, I have been scouring Craigslist and scoring some big items!  Finding new things for 50-75% of retail is a major thrill for me!
We have narrowed down our exterior color choices to these two palettes.  House in either a deep slate blue or deep cranberry red with white trim and white windows with clay color accents.

Either of the color schemes will look quite lovely, I'm sure. So long as you don't duplicate the colors of one of the surrounding neighbors houses. Easier to give driving directions if the destination house is a distinctive color from the others in the neighborhood.
